We found this toad near our house. This toad was found in a bucket. The bucket is about 3 feet (100cm) deep. And the toad was about 2 inches to 3 inches long, equivalent to 5 to 7.5cm.
This small creature was mistaken for a snake at first, because it’s tiny body is very similar to a snake’s head. This toad can burrow up to 2 feet deep. It can jump over 7 inches per second. We captured it back home. We released it back to the wild the next day.

This is the Asian Painted Frog. Also known as “Chubby Frog”.
Adults mature to a size between 2 and 3 inches (5 – 7.5 cm) in length, which often they reach in diameter as well. And a healthy undisturbed painted frog will remain hidden, burrowed or partially-buried during the day unless food is around.
It has an ability to expand itself when threatened, and to secrete a glue-like substance from its body as a defense mechanism.
Their appearance is not that of a stereotypical frog, and they have a somewhat triangular body, with a small angular head during dry months. Haha, maybe that why we mistaken it for a snake
