Sauropoda- Dinosauria-Animalia

Sauropods, the largest land animals, lived between 160-about 65.5mya). During the K-t event huge herds of sauropods dominate the earth.

——During The Triassic , Prosauropods evolved, they were less than 25feet———

——During The Jurassic giant sauropods like Diplodocus evolved, more than 100feet———-

——Reaching a peak in the Late Cretaceous, the largest dinosaurs evolved, even the largest animals ever——–

This story will take you back 190million years.

–    198my bc – The last of the prosauropods perished, and small sauropods evolved.  About 170million years ago, the small sauropods evolved to be meduim sized compared to their giant relatives. They dominate the land. About 145million years ago- At the End Of The Jurassic period, vast herds of diplodocus evolved. And the biggest dinosaur in weight and height- Brachiosaurus. Even in the Early Cretaceous, Titanosaurids evolved, along with small feathered dinosaurs Microraptor. At 100million years bc, vast herds evolved, Called Argentinosaurs they can be seen clearly from 290feet above. These herds are 1,900feet long, each old one is up to 35meters (115feet) long. Weighing 92.3 tonnes. At the Mids cretaceous, meduim sauropods like Agustina evolved.  After that, they will evolve into the largest animals ever. To touch the earth.

It is Bruhathkayosaurus- 175feet and 220tonnes. It was extinct during the K-t Along with all the dinosaurs in the Late Cretaceous……………………………………………………………………….

THE LARGEST ANIMALS

comparexd4

165million years ago , in the Jurassic Period, a giant lurks.

The largest animal for sure, Bruhathkayosaurus weighs 220tonnes and up to 144feet.

Some larger animals like Ameophelias Franggalimuns are too heavy to walk fast, even the sauropods. Sauropods are the largest land animals averaging around 90feet, some really encountered, like Saltasaurus grow to only 40feet (12m) but still very large for a human. Some super sized sauropods reached 145feet, but very rare. The largest of them all was Ameophelias 200feet and weighing 180tonnes (180,000kgs).

A tall sauropod, Sauropodseidon grows to 66feet (20meters long, and up to a amazing 18meters (60feet) high), and can feed at the top of branches. The macoraina family consits of Brachiosaurids and Camarasaurids, very heavy 30 tonnes plus.

Just imagine one thing in the shallows is a female dolly.                                     82Million years ago/82Mya

She gives birth to a male, and a female. The female and her brother will live alone. While Styxosaurus up to 35feet (12.2meters) catch fish, by their 5.2meter (17foot) neck. She and her brother found ammonites pumping water to swim. Swim too close, like the female will get an incky blow. But it is not put off by the young Platycarpus. They found a school of Ancoetus, a 6foot fish, meaning for the Dollys a perfect meal. She is now 7feet long, and one day, the season push them and the other Dollys into the Pacific Indian Ocean.

They are unaware of other giant predators. Meet Tosutoepheous a 30foot (9meter) (10yards) giant squid, too big to be attacked by the young Platycarpus. At night, the Ancoetus rest. But A school of Xinactinus chasing the Ancoetus, 17feet (5.2meter) Xiphactinus were enourmus. More than twice the size of a little female dolly.

Then a group of palentologists found a sharks tooth.

Crythohonia was enormous up to 20feet (6.07meters) the female and her brother are being wacthed, but is their mother that is the prey. ……….. Their mother is gone, but they join other Dolly groups.

2 WEEKS LATER………

Tylosaurus was really enourmus up to 30feet (9.15m) and the female Dolly is driven away by a meal of squid, one escapes, but she didn’t know she is in a path of a monster Tylosaur. She escapes, but her brother didn’t suit the danger coming. Snap! Her brother is gone.

The Tylosaur is being attacked by an older Tylosaur. It is attacked and killed.

She has seen the deaths of her brother and mother but she survived. One day she saw a couple of her opspring and one day she is too week by old age to continue the migration and fall to the bottom of the sea.

Cretaceous Period- The End of the Dinosaurs

Cretaceous Period-   144mya-65mya.

This story will take you just 20 million years after the Jurassic Period.

It will take you to just 112mya to right at the end of the dinosaurs. For example like the Permian mass extinction, that wiped out 90% of life, this time more than half.

THE  STORY BEGINS …………………

We will go back 65million years.

NORTH AMERICA                 75,000,000BC

It is the late Cretaceous and the biggest crocodile existed, Aulthough smaller than Phourosuchus a bit, Dienosuchus is 45feet long and weigh 8-9 tons (8,000-9,000kgs). It ate giant dinosaurs for breakfeast, lunch and dinner.           It feasts on giant hadrosaurs, like Parasaurolophus, a 37feet vegetarian. A common group in the late Cretaceous period. Normally weighing 3,000-4,600kilos (12,000lb).

It was also the home of Albertosaurus a 28-29feet (9.5m) giant theropod that hunted giant hadrosaurs. Albertosaurus weighed 6,000-7,000kilos a smaller cousin of T-REX, this giant predator lives in shore banks.

Another dinosaur, called Mononychus, a 6feet (1.78m) theropod, weighing 20-200kilos (50-500pounds).This dinosaur scavanged around beaches and shoreline forests, scavenging meat.

And at….

MONTANA               65,000,000BC

Three thousand kilometers to the south a massive comet crashes into Earth. IT fades in silence, then the shock waves arrive next, the blast front, 65% of all life died out, 90% of trees, and 82% of flowers.

The comet struck the Gulf of Mexico, near Merida, and with the force of 10billion Hiroshima bombs, the castrophic structure of Earth, most life died out, this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs.

Next time we will meet giant killer birds that replaced them.

Jurassic Period, time of the titans 207mya-145mya

The time of the titans is divided into 3 sections which it evolved, from Sauropomorth to Prosauropods and Sauropods. So this is the Jurassic Period, time of the titans, this is time to tell the story of the biggest animals that will ever walked the planet……….

LATE JURASSIC-152,000,000,000years Bc (Before Christ).

Giants ruled the earth, in this period. There is call from a plain or woods, it is from a Diplodocus a, 25ton,40meters long giant, and they roamed in herds of more than 20, and take protection from the old 40 metre adults, they weigh to more than 29tons…. and adults may be formidable. The biggest animals live alongside the biggest predators, Allosaurus a 12 metre, 4ton carnivore, it is a giant, and will be formidable to us, but not to the biggest sauropods. A allosaurus is now attacking a diffrent kind of sauropod, a Brachiosaurus a 13meter high sauropod that specializes on grazing on the treetops, his kind can effortlesly harvest cones and fresh leaves no other dinosaur can reach, and they have grown enormusly on it, these Adults weigh over 70tons, making them the largest land animal that have ever existed.

Diplodocus are not as big, but they are going to face another giant, Amophelias Franggalimuns a 58metre (192feet) (but it is guessed )and up to a 200ton (but it is not confrimed) giant. Palentologist have only found a leg bone, so it is not sure their size. They are the Biggest Animals. Unlike the diplodocus, they have no spines, and live in a world with no predators, because of their size, Amophelias F. will be at least 100feet or so.

Mesozoic era, Triassic, Age of the dinosaurs, 220mya.

Wait, wait, Permian is coming to an end, with a extra at least, 5billion times the force, of Hiroshima Bombs.

TRIASSIC PERIOD 221Mya-209Mya

This is the time of the first dinosaurs like Coelophysis a 3meter long carnivore, and specelives on hunting reptiles like Cynodonts. Cynodonts are closely related to mammals, but they are reptiles, so Coelophysis is a meat eater and normally eats baby cynodonts, because adults are 2 meters, too big, but the babies are just 1-3 inches long and make a temting target. But, Cynodonts take great care of their young, so it would be diffucult to kill the babies. Cynodonts are nourctonul and hunt at night. Coelophysis are diurnal and hunt at day-time. So, it would be diffucult to meet each other. Cynodonts like lichen burrows, and even the father, sticks close to the nest, he only hunts at night. Now a story of Postosuchus a giant six meter long carnivore, and eats Pleciras, they are closely realated to rhinos, so they are 4meters long, the Postosuchus bites its victim and waits for it to take affect. The Pleciras dies after 5 minutes, and the Postosuchus has an easy meal.

Even so, this is the dry season, and even the 2-ton mighty Postosuchus has to find plenty of water, the dry season is in the 9th month, and, but, the rains finally come. Coelophysis are fine, Cynodonts also, but the Postosuchus has no chance of finding food, its too late, the Postosuchus dies. But, now things are changing, some Plateosaurus had been drawend here to the swollen river, they are 2tons, or some are 4tons, and at 9 meters they are too big to be frightend. They are Prosauropods. And prosauropods are sometimes huge, but not this species, along the river, are some Lystrosaurus, a 1metre-3 feet long evolved from Diictodon and are our ancestor. Who face, a mighty journey over 200kilometers to find fresh food. And along the path, a Eupakeria, just 1 and a half feet long insect eater, is hunting they will become, the top predator of the next period, but now, they are small.

They will become Allosaurus, a 12meter (40feet) giant of the next period, the Jurassic, with giant sauropods, that is evolved from Prosauropods.

Permian period 285mya-245mya

It is the Late Carboniferous end, so oxygen that are in the Carboniferous atmosphere is starting to lost it, and all the giant bugs can’t survive the change, our ancestor, Petrolacosaurus evolved and became the 3meter long Edaphosaurus and that Early Permian Period was the world of giant reptiles, like Edaphosaurus so Edaphosaurus are hunted by the 5meter- Dimetrodon (a ferocious hunter with leathel sharp teeth).

Those, they can kill Edaphosaurus, but Dimetrodon was a fast runner, reaching speeds of 29mph(52km/’h) or so. Also, Edaphosaurus is so fast, the same speed of Dimetrodon, so, Dimetrodon must use all its stength to run at even faster- 31mph (55km/h). Dimetrodon is a formidable hunter, but………….

During nesting time July- Janury. eight months, so they store a lot of fat in their body, but, they are vulnerable to other male Dimetrodons.

LATE PERMIAN PERIOD 245mya-244mya

In the late Permian, this is really hot and dry, perfect for reptiles, funny reptiles like Diictodon live in burrows to escape the heat of the day, surprisingly hot 59 degrees celsius, but, Diictodons hole will only be just 29-39 degrees celsius, so… they are keeping cool, they come out to the surface and pluck in grass to eat, and but, danger is out there somewhre, so they run into their burrow, a huge Gorgonobsid up to five (5) meters long is going to catch them, but they run into the burrow, it is hard and narrows, so, Diictodon is save, and Gorgonobsid retreats. One million years later a comet, smashed into the earth in the Late Permian, the same as in the Late Cretaceous, and….. wiped out 90% of all life on earth. And Diictodon, our ancestor, evolved, to……… in the Triassic…THE AGE OF THE DINOSAURS.

Devonian to late Carboniferous 300mya

Now, Our ancestor Hynerpeton are about to face one of the most challenging things, to escape Hyneria a five (5) meter long carnivrous fish. Face to face with one or two in a lake. They have to escape, but, but, but, they are slow, much slower than their ancestor fish also our ancestor, they run at 7mph, but there are now no sea scorpions, they are evolving on land, and are now small, 1inch, so it became our ancestor amphibian prey, hahaha! They were going to face a high oxygen time, and Devonian changed, and so became the late Carboniferous Petrolacosaurus our new ancestor. Petrolacosaurus flourished in the swamp. But they are not alone, huge spiders, like Mesoepelae a spider the size of a human head, is hunting, with giant dragonflies and millipede relative, Arthopleura so Petrolacosaurus run, and Petrolacosaurus had outrun even thunder, and dragonflies of the middle Carboniferous, so our ancestors became extinct because they evolve, to the size of 3-4m (12ft) and became giant reptiles of fear in the Early Permian periods.

Ordovician to Silurian for a 100million years 418mya

Time to tell the story of titans………………

Giant sea scorpions ruled the Earth, and our ancestor Hycopyistes has evolved into cephelasphis and sea scorpions are now hunting our ancestor, so,but, Cephalasphis a fish, was swimming faster than scorpions such as Pterygotus the titans of sea scorpions, and Cephalasphis will swim more than 24mph (50 or sokm/h) and a sea scorpion can only run on the seabed at 8mph (15km/h). But, our ancestor, is still fish, so, they must cross a line of rock, from the sea, to the river, to mate and lay their eggs. So sea scorpions like Brontoscorpio have a chance to sting them to death. But nevertheless our ancestors didn’t became extinct, soon they won’t be such soft targets, evulution starts to give them weapons to fight back.

Now our ancestors have became a amphibian in the Devonian times, called Hynerpeton they have teeth, but there are carnivrous fish….. Hynerpeton are just 1and a half meters (5ft) bigger than amphibians alive today, but the predatory fish is far bigger……………. So are you afraid of them? They lurk in the rivers and pools, but, Hynerpeton also has to go in to avoid dried up, because it’s a amphibian and amphibians need water to aviod being dried up.
Our ancestors continued to flourished.
